2010 War Eagle 436f Jon Boat Picture and Description:
For sale is my garage kept, 2010 War Eagle all welded 14' Jon boat that I purchased 2 years ago when it was barely used. The original owner used it a handful of times before exploring other boating interests. I was told he put a little over $8,000 in to it, and I believe it. It has been a fishing dream machine and gets looks and comments that a 14 foot metal boat shouldn't normally receive. It occasionally draws a crowd. It is in perfect mechanical working order with ordinary visible wear. If you are unfamiliar with War Eagle boats, please familiarize yourself with the information on their website. They are ridiculously overbuilt, and in some opinions, priced. The motor is a 2009 Yamaha 4 stroke that cranks on the first pull when adequately primed. It's quiet, clean and has had the initial engine oil changed and replaced with OEM Yamalube. With my gear and me on a smooth lake, I see 27 mph on my GPS. Two passengers and it's around 25 mph. Fuel tank currently full of ethanol free gas 90 octane. Last winter I installed a $700 Humminbird 788ci Fishfinder with GPS. It finds fish far more readily than I can catch them. It has preloaded topographic maps for the major lakes and rivers in the US and is quite an impressive unit. With the GPS, you can mark waypoints and it even traces your course on the map as you motor along. The trolling motor is a Motorguide 46 ft/lb 12 volt foot pedal unit. It has given faithful service and can yank the small boat around pretty well. It's the only thing on the boat that is not 'top shelf,' but it has never given me reason to need to change. Last month I managed to crack the indicator arrow on the top of the motor but it has healed nicely with some JB weld. The battery was replaced less than a year ago and has always been charged after use and maintained. The trailer is a 2010 Wesco drive on trailer. Hubs are regularly greased and both wheels were replaced a few months ago due to a slow leak. All lights function as expected. With the sale I will include charger, 2 anchors, spare spark plugs, hub covers, paddle and a few quarts of Yamalube. I use the center box for dry storage but it is plumbed for a livewell. It has a clear title and I have all original paperwork and owners manuals. Boat, motor and trailer are being sold as is. I have tried to accurately depict condition as of 8/4/2012. Local pickup only in Rome, GA. Payment by Cash or Paypal with a $500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction close. I have set a VERY reasonable reserve which is below NADA value. War Eagles don't come along often, don't let this one pass you by!
