Grady White Marlin. Boat is very well laid out for fishing and family fun. Lots of floor space to move around. Boat has been very well taken care of and maintained. It has only been used a couple of times a year for the last 20 years. It was stored and used during florida vacations several times a year primarily in fresh water lakes. The boat has very obviously not spent much time in salt water. It is in great condition - Floor, Hull and Transom are all solid and in good condition. Been used for fishing; in-shore (only drafts 18 inches of water) and off-shore, I've been 25 miles out and spent the night, -great hull design handles the open water with ease. Plenty of power for skiers, tubes and wakeboards. Makes a good dive platform with lots of open floor space and storage. Boat is rated for 2150lbs (over 1 ton) of persons and gear. 6 adults can easily fish from her, cuddy will sleep 2 and a couple of kids, room for a port-a-potty. Has a good working bimmini top, shows some signs of age but should be good for a couple years before replacing -easy to do when you have the original. The cuddy is in fantastic condition even the orginal pads are good, all fiber-glass nothing to rott or weather. Execellent all around very safe versital boat. The boat has a lot a nice options; built in drainable cooler, removable in floor fishbox, bait wells, working pump action fresh water sink with drain, 2 padded pedistal seats, stainless hardware, teak swim platform, pole holders, self adjusting trim tabs. This is what I consider to be the perfect size boat...small enough to trailer easily and large enough for open water. Boat is 100% water ready; working nav and anchor lights, bilge pump, blower, 2 batteries with switch, compass, VHF radio, working tilt/trim, shifts smooth, working gas gauge, Tach, Temp, volt and oil pressure gauges, recent impeller (4 months), runs cool, never overheats. Boat has always been trailered, never bottom painted. 48 gallon aluminum tank, you can go about 300 miles between fill-ups. The starter was recently professionally rebuilt. The out-drive was over-hauled about 2 years ago - new gimble, bearings,seals and the rubber couplers. The engine is a 3.7L Mercruiser model 470 170hp. Highly reguarded motor - 4 cyclinder with great gas mileage and the power of a small 8 cyclinder. Motor will produce 190hp with 4 barrel carb, currently running 2 barrel carb with thru-haul exhaust, I was told exhaust kit adds 10-15hp, but maintains the economy of the 2 barrel. It has the alternator upgrade kit ($965 - http://www.sterndrives.com/470_alternator_kit.html) "This kit replaces the old water cooled voltage regulated system that was prone to failure and expensive to replace.". The motor has a closed cooling system with fresh anti-freeze. No leaks. The water pump is cam driven instead of belt driven, (I lost a volvo motor several years ago because a $3 belt broke and motor overheated) Starts easy, automatic choke, idles great and runs great. She cruises nice at 25mph (inter-costal speed limit) I have had her over 35mph before running from a storm but normally operate around 25. Has a great sounding through hull exhaust system. This is a beautiful classic boat in outstanding condition for the year. All teak in good condition. Trailer - Heavy duty (3" axel) 1987 Escort Galvanized single axel trailer. The trailer is in great shape, the only rust is a little surface rust on some of the hardware, the trailer itself has no rust -great condition. Cross memebers are 3/8" galvanizd angle iron, not the tube type which are prone to rust from the inside out. The trailer does have brakes but I don't beleive they are hooked-up - I don't like brakes on trailers and never attempted to get brakes working, probably wouldn't take to much to get in working order all parts seem to be there, but brakes are only required if you have more than 1 axel, by law. Heavy duty tires each rated for 2800lbs - 90% tread remaining - a little weather checked. This trailer could handle a larger heavier boat. Has working lights, guide-rails, good bunks, carpet and fresh greased bearings. Have taken on several 150 mile trips with no problems.
