GRUMANN 16' FISHING BOAT HONDA 40HP 4-STROKE LOW HOURS Vehicle Description Up for auction is a 1995 Grumman 1666SP aluminum fishing boat. It is in excellent condition for it's year. This boat has been well taken care of and has been very lightly used.

The exterior of this boat is in excellent condition, with absolutely no damage. The boat has never been in salt water. The interior of the boat is also in excellent condition. The seats have no sun damage, this boat has always been covered or stored inside. There are no holes or tears in the seats, and the carpeting is in great shape.

The Engine is a 40HP Honda 4-Stroke that runs exceptionally well. It is extremely smooth, quite and starts quickly. The original owner purchased the boat hoping that his wife would go crappie fishing with him. They only took it to the lake 2 or 3 times. I bought the boat when they divorced. I have averaged only about 2 trips to the lake each year myself. There is no hour meter on this boat, but having owned the boat for 10 years and also knowing the original owner, I would estimate the total hours on this engine to be only around 20-30 hours. My honda manual states the best way to determine the health of an engine is to compression test it. It states that an engine in good condition will have a compression range that is within 15 psi for all the cylinders. This engine has a compression range of 5 psi. We did a compression test of this engine yesterday and the readings for the 3 cylinders were 188 psi, 185 psi and 190 psi. The propeller is also in excellent condition. As you can see in the photos, some of the black paint has come off of the propeller but there is no other damage.

The only thing on this boat that does not work is the 2-way marine radio that you see under the console in the photos. I tried it yesterday and there was no sound.

The trailer is also in very good condition. A new trailer light and wiring harness kit was installed last year, and the lights work properly. The tires are only 2 years old. There is a spare tire mounted on the trailer tongue.

This boat is very easy for one person to handle at the ramp and the 40HP engine provides plenty of power. Engine is also very fuel efficient.

The boat will be ready to go on the water when you pick it up. When you arrive I will hook the water up to it and show you that it runs well. I will also show you how to work anything you might want to ask about.
